You are not your feeling(s).

If you did ask me, I’d say “Blessed!”
Another could blurt “Sore!”
A number of persons I often meet would chorus as they normally do “Hanging in there!”
Some persons might answer “okay, I guess.”
You are not your feeling.
You are not your mood.
You are not your pain.
You ought to know and apply the truth that will forever set you free . Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The moment you accepted Jesus to be at the helm of affairs in your life , you became God’s.
” For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 [NIV]
We (ought to) live, walk, act and express our entirety in and by faith, not by sight. Not by feelings either. Feelings last only but for a moment. They are not who we really are. When the thoughts of worry come, darling, do not throw a pity-party. Rebuke it! You are not a worrier. The devil is trying to afflict your mind. A warrior, a terror to the kingdom of hell is who you really are.
When thoughts of fear gain entrance into your mind, curse it and use your weapon (God’s Word) to sharpen your faith. You are not the “scurry cat”. Faith is the source of your life. When depression tries to seep in, let it know it has the wrong address. Send it packing! You are not depressed. God’s spirit resides in you! The ill feelings are fleeting. God’s Word is everlasting. Speak God’s Word to the situation(s).
Being God’s doesn’t stop the enemy from tempting you. Take a cue from the life of Jesus. The One who was/is fully God yet fully man experienced trials and pains indescribable. If Jesus was tempted and tried, please, why do you think you’d be an exception? In spite of the gruesome feelings and sufferings our Savior had, He remains above all!
“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” Hebrews 2:18 [NIV]
GOD is not against you! He is entirely on your side! Hence, you shall win every battle/challenge of your life! The feelings will pass. Your victory is sure as long as you stand firm on God’s Word!
Say with me, “Feelings do not define me. By Faith, I daily live. I stand on God’s promises. Hence, I will fulfill my glorious destiny!”
Yes, you shall! We will, in Jesus’s Marvelous Name! Amen!
