A LETTER TO THE ONE WHOSE HEART YEARNS FOR MORE

More of God

More strength

More time

More money

More faith, hope, wisdom, knowledge, etc.

Dear Someone,

Just last night, it was laid on my heart to write this letter to you. I’m pretty sure God has you and I on His mind. In regards to your yearnings and longings, you are not alone. You and I are sailing the same ship. You want more out of life. Friend, that’s perfectly fine. We are not abnormal for wanting more. We’d be abnormal if we didn’t. Rather than deteriorate, it is God’s will for us to advance, increase and multiply.

Last night, as I searched my spirit, the Lord said, “I, God, am your greatest need.” I couldn’t agree any less. Dear One, God is our greatest need. Everything that pertains to life and godliness is hidden in God. To get that solution you seek, the wisdom, the connection, the monies, the marriage, the promotion, the children (all things praiseworthy), God has got to be the One we yearn for. This approach is most definitely difficult for the world you and I live in to understand. The world’s method is – if you want something, chase hard after it. God’s way is – you can have it all if you seek Me, first.

“For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” Matthew 6:32-33 [AMPC]

You can never go wrong by seeking God’s Kingdom first. I’m not trying to sound churchy. Far from it. I’m talking God-reality, bible based truth that has been tried, tested and found so true. People who yearn to do God’s will are always the first beneficiaries of their obedience. I mean – God in His infinite greatness has got absolutely nothing to lose if we seek things, and not Him. He remains GOD, with or without us pledging our allegiance to Him.

So dear, permit me to bring to your reminder – there are assignments God has for you. There are desires He has placed deep in your heart. Nevertheless, until you seek God first, you’ll at best scratch the surface of the deep mysteries He desires to unveil to you. Note that after seeking God, we do not go to sleep. When we seek God, He reveals Himself/His Word to us. Next, we work with God’s Word revealed to us. In our doing lies our limitless blessings.

My earnest prayer for you this weekend and beyond is that God will be your utmost desire. May He be the One you constantly yearn for. I pray His Word will be your light and lamp, constantly guiding your path, in Jesus’s powerful name. Amen.

Keep thriving in the center of God’s Will. Till I write to you next time.

With Selfless Love,

Abba’s Daughter – Your Sister
