3 Reasons Why You Might Be The Cause Of Your Problem(s)

No one in their right senses loves adverse situations. Nevertheless, a lot of persons are responsible for the negative circumstances that befall them. It was Stephen Covey who said “We are free to choose our actions but we are not free to choose the consequences of those actions.” How true!

Today, I choose to share just 3 reasons why you might be the cause of your problems or challenges simply because I want you to remember them and apply the knowledge if you are in this boat.

Stay with me and read on.

The number one reason you might be the cause of your challenge is because you hate CHANGE. People think they like change; change in status, position, finances, etc. The real problem is- people forget that what makes change change are the processes that come with it. Many like the results but not the works involved. Friend, change is uncomfortable! More often than not, change takes you entirely out of your comfort zone. And that’s what many persons do not like. People are more comfortable with what or who they are used to. Duhhh. But that comfort will only take you and I so far. See what Micah 2:10 has to tell us.

“Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.” [KJV]

Yeah, I know the above the above scripture is not being soft on us at all. We shouldn’t be soft on ourselves either. Zig Ziglar said, “Life is easy when you are tough on yourself, but when you are easy on yourself, life becomes enormously tough.” True that! You and I know that life is tough. So, one of the wisest things we can do for ourselves is to train our minds and bodies to face life, head-on! Stop making excuses in order to avoid the changes you need to make. Nothing will change my dear friend, except you change.

The second reason why you might be the culprit is because… Are you really ready for this one?

“of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;”

1st Chronicles 12:32 [NKJV]

Have you heard the saying “what you do not understand, you will stand under”? That’s life right there! The reason why many are in the rut they are currently in is because they do not  have the understanding of times and seasons. It is known, even to little babies that Coronavirus and quarantine is a thing in this year 2020. It’s a worldwide pandemic and in one way or another, we all in this world have been affected by it. Still, the degree of impact the pandemic has on people varies from one individual to another. Even before the pandemic became existent in late 2019, many individuals had little understanding of their life’s journey. Their choice of what to do and what not do do were determined by external forces. Rather than acting proactively on their jobs, in their marriages, schools, businesses etc., they were being acted upon. It’s sad to note that many are still being acted upon even as we read this.

The sons of Issachar had understanding of times and seasons. They had knowledge of what to do, and because they did, they were in command. The took charge. Because they had such understanding, they were able to know and give directives to the Israelites. Question is- how can we gain understanding of our own time and season? The answer to the aforementioned question is found in the third reason below.

The third reason you might be the cause of your challenges is because you are avoiding God *ghen ghen* Friend, do not let your mood change just yet. Let me explain. Many of us Christians claim we love God. We claim we claim God is our Number 1. My question is- when last did you sit before God to really seek His face for steps to take? Many of us get so lost in the busyness of life so much so that the art of silence becomes almost irritating to us. Thing is- to gain insights, to have answers to life’s bugging questions, we need to have this peaceful silence, within and without. The Holy Spirit isn’t noisy. The devil sure is. To gain access to answers, to gain insights to deep secrets of life, you need to be before God, not merely asking for things, but asking for insights, wisdom, understanding. And trust me, God gives all those who ask Him, lavishly.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

James 1:5 [NIV]

So Dear One, while you read all the above, did it seem like I was talking directly to you? If your answer is yes, know this- now is the time to make necessary changes. The Good News is- as long as we have breath in our nostrils and God as our Father, any problem can be solved if we are willing to work. There is absolutely no impossibility with God.  I believe in you and your amazing future, and I can bet with my life that God’s plans for you are good. I can barely wait to see the results of the changes you’ll make through God’s leading. Feel free to send me an email to share your thoughts with me or you can even drop them in the comments section.

And I won’t forget to remind you – You are amazing! This month of May is going to be one month you will never forget for good in Jesus’s Name. Amen!

With love and passion,

Ashley
