Step Into The New Season

Note: This message isn’t for everyone. I advise you read with discretion.

There is a great need for you to step into the new season. It’s a demand, and it’s on you. You have stayed where you are for too long. Proverbs 4:18 explains it clearly- our path is destined to shine brighter and brighter. We ought to advance higher and higher. Retrogression is anti-God. And truth is- in times of chaos, advancement becomes very pronounced and more appreciated. Light has the greatest value when it’s the darkest. Here’s what I’m implying- the presence of COVID-19 should not stop you from advancing to the next level in your home, career, and ministry – in every ramification of your life. God didn’t tell us our advancement in life is conditional. Thank God He hinted us- we’ll encounter tribulations in the world (1st John 5:4). Nevertheless, because we are in Him, we are overcomers. God’s Word is unchanging and unfailing. It was written before you and I ever existed. It’ll be here long after you and I are gone. Since it is your responsibility to advance, you have no business remaining where you are. I’m not necessarily referring to your physical location. Limitations and retrogression start, first, in one’s mind. Some persons mentally restrict themselves, when by God’s design, we were created to be limitless.

Have you taken some time to evaluate the season you are currently in? Are there changes that need to be made? Are some unprofitable habits slowly creeping in your life due to the prevalence of the pandemic? Some persons go through life without taking time to evaluate themselves and the situations around them. Are you advancing? Is there unity in your family? Are your visions becoming tangible? What are you lacking? What is your current state of mind, your physical wellbeing? What are you doing well? What needs improvement? What are you doing wrong? What do you need to desist from? The need for introspection can never be overemphasized. You need to think.

How Do I Step Into The New Season?

First, you must trust. Yes, trust. Besides complacency, lack of vision and laziness,  worry and fear are two leading causes of stagnation in the lives of many. Fear of the unknown and worries about possibilities and impossibilities can cripple one and prevent them from advancing in their life’s pursuit. You and I do not know exactly what tomorrow holds, but our confidence as children of God is- we know the God who knows and holds all our tomorrows, and we trust Him, not men, not systems.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 [NKJV]

.

As Christians, we understand that our times are in God’s Hands. Hence, we trust Him for divine direction, protection and provision. We trust God to help us lead fulfilled lives. Fear and worry creep in and run the lives of many basically because they do not trust God enough to lead them. They are more driven by their flesh and feelings than they are led by the Holy Spirit. When we yield to the Holy Spirit and His leading, rather than fear and worry, we become filled with unusual courage and boldness.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

-Dr Seuss

God gave you brains so you can think. He gave you a mind so you can reason, and the beautiful thing is, as Children of God, we do not just possess any mind. We possess the mind of Christ. (1st Corinthians 2:16) If I know anything about the mind of Christ, it’s the fact that the mind of Christ is never dormant. It does not condone worry or think impossibility. The mind of Christ creates solutions. Because we possess the mind of Christ, it is our responsibility to think, meditate, and create.

The new season you will be stepping into will not be void of challenges. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying- “New levels, New devils”. You do not want to go into your new level unguarded. You do not want to remain in your comfort zone either. Stagnant water stinks, remember?

Step In Today

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Proverbs 23:7a [NKJV]

Your predominant thoughts will surely determine the course of your life. If you predominantly think failure, be rest assured that those thoughts will become reality. “What we think about, we bring about.” If you think good thoughts, you will find good, the place of personal responsibility not disregarded.

Note the following tools needed to be efficient in your new season:

  • Focus on your vision
  • Study, focus, and meditate on God’s Word concerning you
  • Do what the Word tells you to do
  • Keep declaring God’s Word (speak His promises boldly)
The above points are in no way exclusive. Nevertheless, it’s a great place to start. Your next season awaits you. The solutions embedded in you are needed by many. Step up to your responsibilities and provide the solutions your world is waiting for. Regarding my new season, I got the directive to continue Insta Chat Series with Ashley indefinitely. I had 7 live sessions last year, and now, the entire journey is about to take a new turn this year. I really hope you join in.

I believe in you and I’m extremely certain that God believe in you more than I do.(You wouldn’t have been created in His image if He didn’t.) Dear One, step into your new season.

With love and passion,

Ashley
