My Post Valentine Gist

Hi! I’m so glad to have you on here (again). How are you? How have you been? I genuinely want to know. You can send me an email if you need someone to share your thoughts with,  give you a Word-rooted advice and/or pray with you.

Meanwhile, happy Valentine’s day in arias! (I’m smiling from ear to ear as I type this.) The Internet was on fire yesterday! Or was it my phone only? How did you spend your day? You know what? Let’s pause. Yesterday is past. Although we’ve got memories, February 14, 2019 is forever left behind. Today is a gift. No wonder it is called present. Let’s embrace it.

About my post Val gist, It’s nothing lengthy. I consider it worthy to thought about and lived by. Yesterday, I came across some words while reading one of my favorite books authored by Mama Lisa Bevere – Girls with Swords. It has been like fire shut up in my bones since then. I’m certain this fire will NOT be quenched. I see a great need to pass it on.

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you see or hear the words Daughter’s Sword? Let me guess – a Fighting Lady? A  Female Warrior? Or nothing at all? I’ll tell you what God told me and how it relates to Lisa Bevere’s wise words. Daughter’s Sword is simply the sword of the Spirit entrusted in the hands of a daughter of God (which happens to be me). The primary assignment and aim of the Sword is to sharpen and shapen swords of many daughters and sons of God.

The Sword of the Spirit is God’s eternal Word.

Daughter’s Sword is not wielded daily on Instagram and Facebook, weekly on this space and monthly via newsletters to harm people. Nope. That will be total abuse of God’s given instrument. Condemning people with words from the Holy Bible is the same thing as using the Sword of Spirit to hurt folks rather than heal them. If there’s anything to hurt, it’s the devil and his cohorts ONLY.

If you have been speaking about doubts, fears, worries, and words against God’s will lately, I can decode one thing – You probably have misplaced your sword. Perhaps it’s getting rusty. Not to worry. Hope is not lost at all. With my sword, I’ll sharpen yours. I won’t let you fall. I might not be there with you physically to hold your hands or give you a pat on your back and whisper of words of encouragement and faith in your ears. All I’ll do is wield my sword from here with absolute faith in God that it will sharpen yours. I just believe. There is no distance in the Spirit. This is my assignment. I’m so here for this!

So my friend, this is how far I’ll go, for now. My parting words today are: Please, use your sword wisely. Heal the brokenhearted. Don’t bind them.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary.” Isaiah 50:4 NKJV

Remain God’s, Special One. Till we meet on this space again.

With Selfless Love,

Abba’s Daughter – Your Sister
