Prepare For The Rain.

“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.” Psalms 65:11 [NLT]

Dear One, I heard those words today- prepare for the rain. It was clear in my spirit. I couldn’t have missed His voice. Thank God I didn’t. Just as those words came, several scriptures followed suit. I share most of them in this timely post. I know without any doubt that just as much as I needed to hear those words, you need them too. Do not be too quick to scroll through. Stay with me on this one. Read with keen attention. I’m pretty sure God has more things to say to you.

The clouds of Heaven are saturated with rain, no doubt. Still, the question is- is your field prepared to receive rain? Is it made ready for all that God has in store? Is it tilled? Are your good seeds well buried? Did you take out the weeds? Or have you decided to stay indoors? Do you intend to go to sleep? By now, I know you can tell that this paragraph is written figuratively. My sole aim of doing this is to make you search your heart and think prayerfully whilst you read.

We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”? Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. Romans 4:17 [MSG]

What happens when there are no signs of rain? Two words- Prepare anyway! There is a popular story about two farmers who desired that God would send them rain. Both of them heartily prayed but only one prepared his field and seeds. Sometime after, the rain came, heavily. What do you think happened next? Your imagination might just be better than mine!

Friend, do not be idle about God’s promises. Do not sleep on God’s Word. If God says He will do a thing, He sure will do it. Still, the onus lies on us to believe and receive it. God cannot have faith on your behalf. It is your responsibility. He cannot receive your blessings on your behalf. He is the faithful Giver! God is the One who brings dead situations back to life. He calls the non-existent into existence. He eagerly searches for (wo)men who will seek His face, trust in Him, work with His Covenant, and see His Word come to pass in their lives. Our Father, Abraham trusted in God and obtained the promises. Elijah prayed for rain and in spite of all the odds, the rain fell (1st Kings 18). What currently is your stance? My advice for you today is to begin to sow those seeds. Take out the weeds. Do your work. Let God do His.

“Endings are better than beginnings.” Ecclesiastes 7:8a [MSG]

It’s almost the end of the year and I can hardly contain my excitement! God be crowning the year with goodness and bringing abundance of blessings our way! Dear One, I perceive you have been believing, watching, praying, and working. Do not give up now. Do not stop. Continue sowing in thanksgiving. Be highly expectant of jaw-dropping testimonies and unforgettable blessings. I am almost going wild as I type. My expectations for this year are over-the-roof kinda high! I hope yours are too. And just in case you haven’t done things right in time past, let your mood lighten up. We serve a merciful God. His lovingkindness and steadfast mercies baffle me time and time again! It’s not too late to do things right from now on. He remains the God of the 11th hour.  He’ll surprise you with harvests you never thought possible. Just plant the seeds in faith and see!

Live victoriously!

With Selfless Love,

Abba’s Daughter—Your Sister.
