Why are you here?
I’m not just referring to this webpage. Why are you here on earth?
For me, I didn’t just come here—not on this webpage, not on this earth. I was sent. Indeed, I’m on an assignment. Although, I didn’t treat my life(time) with such sense of responsibility early, I choose to get it right, now, rather than never.
Friend, are you on course in this journey called life on earth? If yes, I say bravo to you, or are you still meandering around with the hope that there is still time? Then, I’m really sorry for you.
Sit up. Think. Reason. You’re not yours. You are God’s! In other words, you have a mandate to fulfill and a mission to accomplish. And your pursuit of your God-given assignments lie your blessings and enthronement. Sorry? Did you think your intentionality or passivity won’t affect your eternity? You’re so mistaken. You need to think again.
You Are Here To Live Intentionally
Remember the parable of the talent told by Jesus? Do you know where the man who buried his talent ended up? In outer darkness; a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Do you have a better description of hell? I thought so too.
Special One, just as the talent buried by the man in the parable is a resource, our time is a resource too. Do not waste it. Spend it wisely or better put, invest it. In order to do so, let a good percentage of the things you do with your time speak into your posterity.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shall say, I have no pleasure in them.” Ecclesiastes 12:1 [KJV]
There are several avenues to sow into eternity. The watchword to all avenues is one word- LOVE. Love the Lord, love yourself, love your neighbors and love the lost . Let’s do all these in preparation of His glorious yet unannounced return. I have faith you will. I will too, by His Grace.
