Why fake it when you can ‘faith’ it?

Friend, you have all it takes to make it.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 [NIV]

Hey there! It’s great to have you on here again.

 Happy new month!

Special One, this month of August will be an unforgettable one for us! Unimaginable treasures will be released to those who will violently ‘faith’ it and not fake it. Haha! Do not criticize my sentence construction just yet. Soon, we’ll get down to meaning of it.

In the course of last month, I attempted to do poetic justice to two articles I wrote; ‘The Cotton Seed’ and ‘I was tired‘. Although I’m kinda new to writing poems, If you haven’t read them yet, please do not hesitate to. They’ll surely be a source of blessing to you.

So today, I’m writing with greater depth because I write not  only about my inspiration from God’s Word, but more importantly, I write about my experience with God’s Word. Our opening scripture for today— Mark 11:24 has become one of my life scriptures as I daily retell God His Word [Isaiah 43:26]. Friend, as Christians, you and I will go only so far without prayers. Prayer is our communication line with the Father. We can pray when and how we want to and/or how we are led by God to.

For us to pray effectively, our hearts must be void of distractions and connected to Abba. Be it a prayer of thanksgiving, intercession or supplication, Daddy always wants to speak to us in return. When we pray, we ought to be sensitive and in tune with God.

Faith is the sickle that brings the harvest we desire.

Sometimes, I wonder— why do people make prayer their last resort? It ought to be our first option. Before the going gets wrong, before the ill signs become obvious, we ought to knock at Heaven’s door in FAITH. We do not knock to see if God will answer. We know He will. He’s the God who neither sleeps nor slumbers. Plus, He constantly remains faithful to His Word.

Overtime, I have discovered that our faith in God’s Word is all we need to be all that God created us to be. I must let you know that growing in faith is WORK. You need to be a diligent student of God’s Word (you gotta study it, mediate on it, share it with others and most importantly, do it.) The great thing is— this work pays off! I mean— God is pleased with us and we get blessed (Hebrews 11:6). What else can one ask for?

Just this week, I encountered a question. I found it extremely necessary to write down my answer in my journal. “Why can it be difficult to trust God to answer your prayers?” I was as I honest as I could possibly be. My exact words were, “Faith is work. It is difficult because most times, my flesh wants to see before believing but that’s not how the righteous live. We live by faith.” Yes, we live by faith and not by sight (2nd Corinthians 5:7). For some months, I have been believing God for something that means a lot to me. I knew and still know that attaining this thing will bring God glory. So what did I do? I located God’s Word as regards to my desires, I sought Godly counsel, prayed and stepped out in faith. As I write, I have my desire! (I’ll share this testimony in the nearest future.) Friend, it took the bulldog kind of faith for me to get it. Did I feel like giving up? Oh yes! But I didn’t throw a pity-party with the feeling. I almost did! I spoke and declared God’s Word every single time that spirit of doubt came. And today, I laugh in the devil’s face.

So special One, why fake it when you can actually ‘faith’ it and make it? Dogged faith in God’s Word is what you need. You might have the best pics and posts on the internet, your reputation might seem ‘stainless’, but honey, if you do not face life squarely, the ‘mountain’ you don’t move will remain (Mark 11:23).

Ask yourself this question— “When last did I check my Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook notifications?” You know your answer. I know mine too.  Now ask yourself this next question. “When last did I check in with God? When last did I call on Him, brood on His Word even as I do my work?” Be honest as you appraise yourself. So many persons live for social media. Although the social media helps us a great deal, an alarming percentage of people abuse it, including myself, sometimes. God’s Word is the only thing that One can never have an overdose of.

Do not be all about packaging and presenting the best, sometimes untrue news about yourself to the world in a bid to impress people while your ‘house’ is not in order. Your flesh never desires what you really need. It desires to be recognized. It’s always open to pride. Your spirit constantly  needs the life-giving Word. Therefore, dearest, there’s a need to tame those distractions and get down with God. In Him lies the solutions we need. Search the scriptures. Speak to the mountains. Move them with the revelations you have in God’s Word.

So Special One, you have all it takes to make it in this world and in the world that is to come— YOUR FAITH. Grow and release it. The mountains have to be moved into the sea!

Live victoriously!

With Selfless Love,

Abba’s Daughter—Your Sister.
